1.000.000 di Panda. La milionesima Panda è uscita dagli stabilimenti napoletani.

 

E’ uscita dallo storico stabilimento di Pomigliano D’Arco, la milionesima Panda Prodotta.E’ una Panda City Cross 1.2 da 69 CV, di colore bianco.

Un sito produttivo, nato dalle ceneri di un centro aeronautico che l’Alfa aveva creato . una profonda ristrutturazione avvenne alla fine degli anni sessanta. Una ristrutturazione voluta da Giuseppe Luraghi . Nasceva il progetto “ Alfasud”. Nasceva la vettura “ meridionale”. Un progetto industriale che voleva limitare l’immigrazione di lavoratori verso il Nord.
Il ciclo produttivo iniziò nel gennaio del 1972. Dopo varie ristrutturazioni l’impianto, di propietà della FCA,  dal  novembre 2011, produce unicamente il nuovo modello Panda.

PANDA

 

Nata dalla matita di Giorgio Giugiaro e Aldo Mantovani, la vettura fu presentata in anteprima , nei giardini del Quirinale alla presenza del Presidente Sandro Pertini il 29 Febbraio 1980 . Il 5 Marzo al Salone di Ginevra la Panda, fu esposta.

“ Dimensioni da citycar, ma tanto spazio, è questo il punto di forza della piccola Fiat. Ma Giorgetto Giugiaro ha voluto anche dare due tratti distintivi alla vettura: massima praticità ,la “tascona” al posto della plancia fu innovativa e un aspetto accattivante, che piacesse anche ai giovani. “

Per questo progetto nel 1981 Giorgetto Giugiaro vince il Compasso d’oro.

La prima a montare nel 1986, un motore diesel. “ Car of the Years” nel suo segmento di mercato, nel 2004. La prima a raggiungere i 5.200 metri di altitudine del campo base avanzato sull’Everest. Nel 2006 ha introdotto la motorizzazione a metano. Con i suoi 300.000 esemplari è l’auto a metano più venduta in Italia

 

Negli ultimi cinque anni è l’autovettura più venduta in assoluto.

E’ la prima serie, la 30 con il motore bicilindrico 652 cc raffreddato ad aria. Sembra sbagliata. Non lo è. Non è molto più grande di una 126, ma è molto più alta (1,44 m), e per questo appare, sulle prime, poco proporzionata. Invece, tutto torna. Ogni particolare è studiato per essere funzionale ed economico. Andava e va ovunque. Solo la marmitta si buca con una facilità incredibile.

Beh, anche la ruggine viene su facile facile, se la lasci fuori.

Borbotta, raspa, ad ogni passo sembra chiederti di smetterla e, invece, non la smette mai.
