La 125 S la primogenita del  mito Ferrari nel mondo.

La 125 S , 1947

La 125 S  ha il privilegio di essere la primogenita delle rosse di Maranello. La prima rossa a portare sul cofano il cavallino rampante. Frutto concettuale di Gioachino Colombo, Giuseppe Busso e Luigi Bazzi.
Fa il suo esordio nel 1947 nella duplice veste Sport e Competizione.
La 125 S è compatta, al punto da apparire tozza e poco piacevole. E’ tuttavia un’impostazione giustificata dai terreni accidentati su cui si gareggiava e alla categoria in cui si gareggiava.
Gli interni sono spartani. Gli strumenti di bordo sono: amperometro, manometro carburante e olio, termometro acqua e olio e contagiri con spia a quota 7.000.
Tutte montavano carrozzeria aperta tipo spider realizzata dalla Touring. Alcune montavano dei parafanghi, tipo motociclismo, separati dalla scocca. in fase sperimentale fu creata una 125GT
